I’m Elia Bieri — an engineer and a lifelong tinkerer. I build useful, joyful mobile apps for iOS and Android. I’m into tackling tricky technical problems, exploring DIY electronics, and turning everyday problems into simple, creative tools.

My path started in embedded systems. The constraints made me better — and made me love shipping things that last.

filmstop.ch is a small one-stop shop for analog photography — buy, develop, and scan in one place. I built it because I was tired of waiting weeks for film development and having to drop rolls off in person. Now you can just send them in and get your photos back in 72 hours.

From a missing-alerts fix to the official wgzimmer.ch app. I pitched and built it in Flutter, and it’s now used by thousands.

Built for climbers who love the Frankenjura region — an app to browse and discover its crags and boulders.

A job board for pastors and church-related roles — built as an experiment to learn the ins and outs of the job board business-case.

Zalp is a non-profit magazine for Swiss alpine herders. I built an app to help volunteers plan deliveries and collect data about the pastures they visit.

First-gen Flutter experiment for the hometown bar, Käptn Holger (Langnau). Retired, but still a favorite milestone.

From frustration to prototype: Flathunt replaced my spreadsheet - based flow for tracking rental applications. I wanted to go further — submit applications inside the app. I shelved it when a startup entered the niche; years later, the process is still broken and mostly paper-based.

Hackable information display fully built in Rust and extensible through WebAssembly Components.
